1. How does Media Traffic display my advertisements?

We display your advertisements to users who have installed ad supported software. These ads are displayed either as a pop-up or pop-under as defined in the campaign settings.

2. Is your product considered adware?

Our product is software utility which makes it adware. Adware produced and distributed in an ethical manner is a very effective and respected method of advertising.

3. What is the difference between adware and spyware?

Adware is software that displays advertisements on a user's computer. There is a lot of confusion in the industry that links adware with spyware and that not all adware is good.

Here are some clarifications on this issue:

  • Adware that is installed and functions according to certain rules is considered permission-based advertising.
  • Adware that is not installed with user consent and/or cannot be easily removed from a users' computer is considered an unwanted program.
  • Spyware is software that installs, collects and distributes the users' information without their consent.

4. How is our software distributed?

All present and future distribution of Vomba ad serving software are bundled only with Vomba labeled software such as VombaShots and VombaSavers.

Vomba policies for distribution follow strict ethical standards which are vital to maintain a reputable permission-based advertising network. Vomba policies regarding the distribution of software are:

  • Never install without displaying an End-User License Agreement (EULA) which clearly states the occasional display of advertisements on the users' computer
  • A user must opt-in to continue the installation
  • Vomba software is clearly listed in the Add/Remove section of the Control Panel.
  • Any advertisement displayed by Vomba must appear in a new browser window that is clearly labeled Vomba.

5. What about pop-up blockers?

Because our ad serving technology is software based, pop-up blockers do not have any effect. The software opens a new instance of Internet Explorer and then loads the URL in the browser. This is the same as a user opening a new browser and typing in the URL of the advertisers' destination.

6. How should I use Media Traffic?

Target URLs – try to think of all websites related to your business. If visitors to these sites are relevant to your business, you should target these URLs. You can enter an unlimited number of URLs into your ad campaign.

Target Keywords – think of what consumers might type into a search engine when looking for your products or services. Enter an unlimited number of keywords or keyword combinations into your ad campaign.

Target Countries – you can select the countries where you wish to target consumers. For example, if you have a product or service that is only available to North America, you can choose to have targeted traffic from US, Canada and Mexico.

Determine how much you want to pay for each visitor – control your costs by entering the bid price for keywords or URLs starting at $0.015 USD Cost-per-view.

More popular keywords or URLs may have higher competing bid prices. This does not mean you have to pay the highest price. However, being the highest bidder will give you a higher volume of the available traffic for a particular keyword or URL.

Set daily budgets for each advertising campaign to give you control on your spending. Choose the frequency for each unique visitor to your site – 1/24 hours? 1/48 hours? Once a week? Etc. The choice is yours.
